You don’t have to live in a listed house or in the conservation area to become a member. We welcome anyone interested in maintaining our precious architectural heritage and supporting our work on behalf of the entire local community.
In addition to the Society’s core role of protecting and enhancing the amenities and architectural quality of the area, we are keen to respond to issues that are important to local residents – from rubbish collections and street cleaning to tree management, parking or the environment. We are entirely non-political and work with all local councillors and politicians to influence decisions or solve problems that affect our community.
We work for everyone in Bedford Park, including the conservation areas designated by Ealing and Hounslow councils and the adjacent roads, which include the area bounded by Abinger Road, Whellock/Speldhurst Roads, St Albans Avenue and South Parade/Bath Road, plus Roman Road, Lonsdale Road, Gainsborough Road and Flanders Road.
We have a strong record in tackling local issues. In the last few years we joined forces with the Bedford Park Community Group, which has now dissolved its association. By working together, combining our respective skills and experience, we are able to provide a single, more powerful voice for Bedford Park and an increased capacity to tackle a broad range of issues for the entire community. We have also implemented a series of changes to modernise the Society and improve the effectiveness of our communications and responsiveness to members.
Regular newsletters and emails keep members informed while meetings, social gatherings, lectures and other events keep everyone in touch and help people meet their neighbours.

The more members we have, the more effective we can be in conserving the heritage of Bedford Park, working to improve the amenities of the area and the environment, and in representing local residents’ views and interests.
Everyone is welcome to become a member. Join now and support our work.
