All Society members were invited to the 2019 AGM on Thursday 9 May at St Albans Church, Acton Green, South Parade.
As well as the formal business of the meeting, we provided an update on our current priorities and allowed time for everyone to ask any questions they had.
Drinks were available beforehand from 7.00pm and also after the conclusion of the meeting, giving members an opportunity for discussion with members of the Executive Committee and to meet other members of the Society.

Nominees for the Executive Committee:
Ruth Clarke
I joined the Bedford Park Society in 2005 and became a Road Representative later that year, a position I still hold. After retiring in 2009 from a career of some 30+ years in the Financial Services sector in the City, working in both the for profit and non profit sectors, I was able to dedicate more time to the Society and joined both the Events Committee (which I now Chair) and the Infrastructure Committee.
For the last few months I have been co-opted to the Executive so I have a good understanding of the issues facing this wonderful area and the excellent works undertaken by so many hard working volunteers on our behalf. I am keen to continue this work and to encourage more people to join us in trying to preserve the uniqueness of Bedford Park for future generations.
Simon Hillyard
I moved to Bedford Park in the late 1970s and have been a member of the Society ever since. I joined the Executive Committee about eight years ago and have acted as Minutes Secretary for much of that time. I am also a member of the Infrastructure Committee.
My professional life as a solicitor was spent in the legal services field where I was involved in establishing duty solicitor arrangements in magistrates’ courts and police stations in England and Wales and had involvement with law centres and the Citizens’ Advice Bureaux organisation.
